The September art exhibit will feature the works of Helen Reinhold Gordon. The opening reception will be held in the Harvest View Galleries at Landis Homes from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18. Helen, who who is a direct descendent of the founder of the town of Reinholds, Pa., lives in Reinholds where she works out of a home studio.
Helen graduated summa cum laude from Kutztown University in 1981 receiving a BFA degree. She is a member of The Berks Art Alliance in Reading, PA. She has received recognition and awards for her work both locally and nationwide. Using acrylics and vibrant oils, her favorite subjects feature impressionistic florals, succulent fruits, roosters, local landscapes, and seaside vistas. She has also painted several commissioned pieces of local historic sites: “The Black Horse Hotel,” “Hershey Brothers Feed Mill,” and “The Trinity Chapel,” which she also offers as print reproductions. Reinhold’s work celebrates life
with an emphasis on vibrant color.
